Our Brand History
2007: The Beginning
Match Attax was launched by Topps as a modern football trading card game, evolving from the traditional sticker collections. Born as a spin-off of the US-based Topps company, which had already established itself in baseball and American sports collectibles, Match Attax brought the trading card experience to football fans worldwide.
The first collection focused on the English Premier League, introducing innovative gameplay elements that would become the foundation of the Match Attax experience.
2009-2012: European Expansion
Following its success in the UK, Match Attax expanded across Europe. The introduction of the UEFA Champions League collection in 2009 was a pivotal moment, bringing together the biggest clubs and star players from across the continent into a single, prestigious collection.
